pansies smiling back at you in the garden outside the museum
we strolled so salaciously around that cropped circle in awe and I hoped to hold your hand
you were their sun and their earth and their water
the breeze that rustled there leaves and petals and clamored with such orchestral nature
the symphonic brilliance beheld only to please your ear
the weeping willows wept no more at your grace the old oaks became so very young
the wildflowers in the meadow rejoiced and they shivered the lilacs bloomed only for you
all the love received by such a beautiful creature
left the forest in such a stature where no choice was given to the order
but to appease and adore her and the roses admired and the daffodils swooned
the carnations they envied and the daisies stood loyal and true
and when the pansies felt you near a flower of their own
to have and to hold when silver turns to gold
well, they saw it and they could not bare it to,
way out there in the garden outside
the museum, those pansies smiled back at you
